QOT Total Part Demands Question
Question: Why does the Quote module note aggregate the Total Part Demand?

Example:  If you have various assemblies.  Example if Part A is used on 10  assemblies and different user factors on each assembly/different qty per assembly and the aggregate demand is 500k. Manex system does not pull together the total quantity per part.

Answer: This is intentional.  Users may quote the same part on 10 different assemblies, but there is a chance the customer will not place a PO for all 10 together (or possibly even in the same year).  If the vendors only see the aggregated qty and quote all 1M pieces (or whatever the qty is) but users only place a PO for 200K the pricing may not match the quote.  With the current method vendors can see the separate qtys and calculate the total qty.  In this way, vendors have the option of quoting the qtys separately or as a combined total.  If vendors quote the combined total, that price can be applied to all quantities so the end quote will be the same.
