Does ManEx have a MRP Differential Report?
Q.    Does ManEx have a MRP Differential Report?

A.    ManEx does Not have a report like this at this time but here is a temporary work around to follow:

  1. Setup up a bogus top level, to include all of the top level assemblies involved.  Use the quantity needed for each assembly as the quantity for the assembly in the top level.
  2. Once this is done, prepare to run MRP.  Run MRP (without the bogus top level), and make a copy of the MRPACT table.  Copy that table to an Excel Format.
  3. Then put in 1 of the bogus top level assembly, and run MRP again.  Make a second copy of the MRPACT table (don't use the same name as before).
  4. Make an Excel copy of that second listing.
  5. Remove the 1 bogus top level part requirement and run MRP again to clear out the momentary information.
  6. Compare the two lists, and whatever is different is the result of the proposed additional parts (unless you don't run the second MRP very quickly after the first).
  7. It sounds complicated, but I think it is eassier and more accurate than running the kit shortage report and trying to fathom it out from there.
