The more printers you bring into the TS connection the slower the performance.
To resolve this issue, don't connect local printers through the TS session. Instead, enter the TS session, and map the printers on the server. This allows you to have the same printers, but removes the speed issues. It does require the user to map the printers again for each client, but once that is done things operate much more efficiently.
