Request

To increase the Mfgr Part Number field length from 30 characters to 40.

Reason Declined

This field is used in 1000's of locations throughout the system.  Therefore would require a large amount of programming to implement.   There are also many reports that exist throughout the system that are already short on room.  If we increased the field length it would result in some reports having information cut off.

There has also not been any other requests from our customers for the above, which indicates to us that the current 30 Character field length is sufficient.
