Prerequisites
Before MX can be installed Windows IIS7 feature must be Turned on. For more details on setting up Windows IIS7 See
Article #5673.

It is suggested you use Windows SQL Server 2017 or higher when setting up MX. Windows SQL Server 2017 or higher will provide the best performance and most longevity for your system.

Users must apply SSL to IIS site once setup in order to insure proper security is in place while using MX.

To apply SSL(secure Sockets layer) on your IIS site you will need to purchase the certificate from Certificate Authority(CA). You will have to get the Certificate when you acquire the SQL server and when you setup IIS. If you already have SQL purchased and IIS installed, then you have have to add the Certificate.

Below are the steps,

1. Create the certificate request in IIS. https://www.iis.net/learn/manage/configuring-security/how-to-set-up-ssl-on-iis

2. Get text file of the IIS certificate & purchase the certificate from Certificate Authority(CA).

3. CA will provide a .CSR file (i.e.Certificate) using the text file which you have created earlier.

4. Configure site using that certificate.

Alt Reference can be found here: https://www.instantssl.com/ssl-certificate-support/csr-generation/iis-ssl-certificate-7x.html

In order to run the latest MX, you MUST have asp.net 4.5 installed. You can download it here (if you don't already have it): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

When ready proceed to step # 1 Install ManexService on your Server
