Prerequisites Required for Entering a New KITTING & SHORTAGE
After activation, "Kitting & Shortage Management" access for each user must be setup in the ManEx System Security module. Users with “Supervisor Rights” will automatically have access.

A work order must exist. |
| Bill of Material |
The assembly must have a bill of materials, with kitted components |
| AVL |
The Manufacturer Names must exist when using the AVL in the BOM. |
| Reason Codes |
These codes must be established in the Return/Shortage Reasons setup module. |
| Accounting Defaults |
Inventory and Variance General Ledger accounts must be set up in the G/L Accounting Setup. |
Optional Prerequisites for Entering a New KITTING & SHORTAGE
| Work Order Traveler |
When adding line shortages, must have Work Order Traveler established if parts are to be issued to work center |
