Fields and Defintions for GL Account Types & Ranges
 
 
Type Enter a 2 or 3 character alph abbreviation for the type of account, such as CAS for Cash.  
Description
Enter a type of description for the account, such as Cash, etc.  
Lower Limit 
This is the lowest account number (1st 7 digits is account, next 2 digits is Division, last two digits is Department), for example: you would enter in 1000000-00-00 for the lowest range for Cash. 
Upper Limit 
This is the highest account number (1st 7 digits is account, next 2 digits is Division, last two digits is Department), for example: you would enter in 1199999-00-00 for the highest range for Cash. 
Appears on 
Select from the pull down if this account should appear on the Balance Sheet or the Income Statement. 
Normal Balance
Select from the pull down if this account is a Debit or Credit. 
Note
This is for any notes you want to enter regarding the account range.
