Introduction for System Administration

The following details ManEx recommendations for a typical Customer ManEx Installation.  This is meant to be a guide, not an absolute specification.  Variations in customer size, sites, usage, network, number of users, database size and competing network traffic will affect optimal requirements.  The following information is a guide for most ManEx installations.

Your Manex Installation program will be made available to you on your ManEx CRM (Customer Relationship Management) account www.manex.com/crm (setup by ManEx customer support).

Note:  We have provided the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) area for users to gain immediate access to updates and a variety of additional user information. To see everything the CRM has to offer see  Article #3393 .

Once you are in the www.manex.com/crm

Depress the Login Button

Enter your email Address and Password (which will be provided by ManEx customer support by e-mail)

Note: all fields are case sensitive

Then go to the FTP/Download Files  tab, you should see the executable file (Example:  <<Manex-XXX Setup.exe>>) -  clicking on it should begin the download process.  (when downloading make sure to select the option to SAVE the download, do NOT select the Run option during the download).   For further instructions see Article #3453 .

The initial installation that is provided will automatically install the Library files and applications needed to run ManEx on the Server only.  In order for each End Workstation to be able to access the ManEx system, the ManEx Client Library files are required to be individually loaded onto each End Workstation.   User can install programs separately.  Or user can select "Manex All-In-One" which includes ALL of the files.  When you run it you will presented with two choices; Manex libraries and Crystal Report Run Time. You can chose to install them both or just any one of them.  For further instructions see
Article #3456 .

All the programs are available on the Customer Relationship Management(CRM)/ ManEx Updates

Once logged into the CRM user may go to the Utilities  tab, here is where they will find a listing of all the "Specialized Utilities"
